Experts agree that continuous and sufficient ventilation is of primary importance in the fight against the spread of viruses in enclosed rooms. Solutions which can be realised as quickly as possible and with little planning and installation cost are particularly sought after in times of a pandemic. The AirPal air purifier and CO2 monitors from Helios Ventilatoren provide a straightforward solution. The AirPal units efficiently remove 99.995 % of viruses, bacteria and other pollutants from the air. You do not require any complex installation and they are immediately operational.

Air purification and CO2 measurement

Partly for this reason, the KS1 business schools in Villingen were equipped with two AirPal air purifiers and five CO2 monitors. A large Helios AirPal standing unit has continuously provided healthy air in the cafeteria for several months now. Important written exams were also taken here during lockdown. The spacious room was ideally suited for this because students were able to maintain the required distance without any problems. The air purifier provided additional safety and the students were able to concentrate fully on their exams.

In addition to the standing unit, the school has a mobile solution. AirPal Go can be flexibly moved into the classrooms where many people are present. “AirPal adapts optimally to the room (also visually) and hums quietly to itself”, the head teacher Rainer Wittmann enthusiastically explains. The two AirPal units are supported by Helios CO2 monitors. Despite purified and clean air, the CO2 concentration in enclosed rooms increases and it should be regularly ventilated. This takes place here in a targeted and demand-oriented way thanks to the CO2 monitors. The five-level display in traffic light colours indicates the current air quality. If the CO2 concentration exceeds a certain value, the next LED lights up and thereby gives a ventilation recommendation. This reminds students and teachers to ventilate when necessary.

The AirPal air purifiers are extremely robust and suitable for continuous operation. The highest grade filters (HEPA-14) ensure a safe feel-good climate. The sophisticated sound insulation concept and intelligent air ducting also guarantee that the people in the room are not affected by operating noise or unpleasant draughts.
