Did you know?
Our fans were already a big hit in the 60s.
At the beginning of the 60s, Helios was already supplying everything that low pressure axial fans needed in practice. Including special fans for cooling towers. Water for industrial purposes, such as machine cooling, was in short supply at the time.
The company Escher-Wyss, later known as ENGIE Refrigeration, therefore develops special cooling towers. For the first time, they made it possible to cool the water heated by the utilization process and use it again and again. The fans installed in them have a diameter of up to 3.5 meters and can generate air flow rates of up to 500,000 m3/h. Made of cast aluminum or glass fiber reinforced polyester and manufactured in a hollow body design, the highly profiled, adjustable blades are characterized by high efficiency and low weight. The cooling towers of this world-famous manufacturer are still equipped with fans from Helios 60 years later.
