Johannes Kohler dies just 5 years after founding his company. From then on, his daughter Martha, who is only 20 years old, takes care of the business. Together with engineer and employee Ernst Müller, they work out solutions for the continuation of the company and discuss new business fields. The two are also an unbeatable team away from work: they marry in August 1931.
The radio business continues to pick up speed and the daily broadcasting times are growing steadily. Fernwellen-Apparatebau AG now also manufactures funnel-less and gramophone loudspeakers.
But technological change shows: What is modern today is long outdated tomorrow. This is also a problem for Ernst and Martha Müller, and it quickly becomes clear: to get back on the road to success, new products are needed as quickly as possible.
